I'm looking at geting a laptop and these deals Dell has are kinda hard to pass by.

Is Inspirion 6000 a decent laptop? How is the graphics/screen on it? Will i be able to run basic games like World of Warcraft and halflife at halfway decent resolution?

How does it compare performace wise to other brands like toshibas or ibms?

and please dont recommend dell 9300, its just too big for me.
 
The problem with Dell is that they left out decent graphics in laptops under 17".

Doesn't look too good for WOW with the i6000 running x300 video, at under 27fps in desktop versions 800x600.

(note that the above is for "desktop" versions, and the mobile will score noticably lower.

For comparison, the previous 15" Dell, i8600, with MR9600 Pro, would run about 45fps at 800x600.

You will need at least a mr9600/mr9700 or x600, or go6600

HL2 will run a little better than WOW with x300, and should be usable.
 
the X300 mobile is VERY comparable to the MR9600 in terms of performance. I'm not sure why the WoW numbers are so different, but MR9600 = X300 to my knowledge. And X600=MR9700
