Dell in Ocean's 12

Don't forget TV shows of yore where the characters would actually pick up the product and give it a little spiel on the air... or what the secret message in A Christmas Story was... etc...
It's been around a long time.

dell was all over 24 also.

i doubt they do much advertising. they're just widespread and people know to use them.

Man that was pretty effective advertising seeing as that I didn't even realize they were using Dell products. 🙂

A lot of product placement is not paid for at all, the company just provides the products that are being placed (and then some). That happens a lot with cars. For Jackass the Movie, Miller just gave them a bunch of cases of High Life. In a case like the Dell DJ, where the way they used it was pretty contrived, it's a fair bet that Dell paid for it. In cases where it fits - well I'd rather see a can of Pepsi than a generic looking soda can with COLA in big block letters going up the side.

Dell's been doing this a lot lately. Sitcoms, movies, non-Dell commercials.... Just waiting for video games.

Seems like it started with Swordfish.

you're an idiot if you really believe that

Agreed. Unless the brand pays money to be shown in a movie, producers will go to GREAT lengths to eliminate any brand that could possibly be shown on camera.

Did anyone notice in the movie Terminator 3 that in the end of the movie there is computer boxes on the floor and they read DELL, meanwhile the bunker is suppose to be old.

the worst has to be in video games like need for speed undergound 2.

not only do you see ads for best buy and burger king. the actual best buy stores are there as well as burger king locations.

numerous attempts to destroy best buy with my riced out car were unsuccesful.

what i want to also know is how much did Apple pay Blade 3 to advertise their IPod in the movie. it was like a commercial for the IPod when they were in the car the van wilder explains what it is. it was ridiculous.

What i want to know is how much did New Line pay you to see Blade 3?

this type of advertising is so stupid.. why bother, it does not make me want to buy a dell monitor any-more than I already do 😛

-$14 after you count my ticket + my gf's ticket.

blade 3 was a great movie, better than part 2 IMO.

Half the reason I picked a Nokia cell phone many years ago was because they used it on the X-Files.
