Dell home now charges tax in IL?

They started charging tax in IL. Wasnt there before this was recent. Dont know why though.
 
WHy hasn't hotdeals involving dell home mention any of this? There's only like 3 states that don't have tax so almost everyone else would have been hit?
 
i would but a deal i wanted ends tonight. Really need laptop asap. I bought something small from home less than a week ago with no tax as well.
 
Give 'em a call then, I had an expiring deal I wanted but had problems too. The guy I talked to placed the order (I think it was like 9 or something) as a check order so it would hang around waiting for payment. Then he went in the next day and got the other stuff taken care of during regular business hours and switched the order through and processed it.
 
i'll try but the coupon expires tonight (which is what i meant to say). I might just place the order (if the coupon is still valid at thisp point 11pm central i believe) and call in tomorrow. I just hate talking with their csrs. So much time wasted on hold...
