bit, how often does their 20% offers come around? I'm debating whether to jump on this or wait a few more weeks. Also, has anyone gotten a digicam from Dell with dead/hot pixels and tried to return/exchange it? How is their service?

Thanks in advance.

ichoi, dell home rarely has 20% off non-dell branded stuffs.

dell has very good return policy, for non-defective items you may eed to pay return shipping, but for defective items they should be responsible.

Or you can WAIT for one of those 25 off 350, 30 off xxx or 50 off 750 whenever they come by and use it with the 10 pecent coupon.

ARGH! I bit on the A40!! My girlfriend's birthday is coming up...

When I was going thru checkout, initially the shipping was only partially discounted. When I got to the final page, the shipping was completely discounted. So make sure to get Next Day delivery.

Anyone have any suggestions on which sub-$500 camera would be best? I was looking at the Sony DSC-P51, but I don't know how it would compare to the others (obviously the sub-$500 models)...

Ouch, I just missed out on the stackable 5% by ordering a Canon S330 from Dell last night. I only got in on the 10% and free next day shipping.

Thanks, bit, for the info. So there's no restocking fee? I thought I read somewhere that there's a 15% fee on non-defective items. Am I remembering incorrectly?

Also, how often does the 50 off 750 come around? That would be just a little better for the G2, though not by much.

To wait or not to wait... that is the question... plus which one to get too!

wth is the nikon 2500 so expensive? it only sells for 248 at best buy and 299 almost everywhere else.

and according to some, it ships on september 5. so who knows, perhaps the price of the A40 everywhere will be selling at around 250 at that time. hot deal? or a way for dell to sell more. :(

sorry, im not trying to flame this hot deal, cuz i really think it is a hot deal. i just think theres something odd about shipment on sept 5

I just ordered a Canon Powershot S30.. but I forgot to go through ebates. You get the extra 2% or so?

which means $426 - $8.50 = $417.50.

IMO:

1. Canon S30 (best looks, controls, menus, simplicy of use, etc)
2. Nikon 885
3. Olympus C3040Z
4. Sony S75

aside from the "big 4"... i wouldnt buy anything else...

As for the Nikon Coolpix 2500...nikon has dropped the MSRP to 299...thats why its selling for that or lower in retail stores

I'm a big Fuji 2600/Nikon 775/Canon A40 fanboi but out of those 4 choices I'd seriously consider the Canon S30 and Sony S75.

bit,

Interesting post, any reason that there were no HP digital cams?

I saw an article today that said that HP, since merged with Compaq, has killed the contract with Dell and will no longer be selling them printers, PDAs, and digital cameras. Wonder what they'll do with their remaining stock? Fire sale?

And how come no one is drooling over the Canon G2. When that first came out I thought it was the hottest rig going. Are those others listed that much better?

Good luck all,

:)

Dell has 10% off of digital camera.... and the 15% off of $400 always works with that 10%. However, this 5% coupon does not work with the 15% coupon... just FYI for an even hotter deal.

Now I cant decide between the s200 and the a40. Any input?

Spac3d, where's the 15% off 400? I checked several coupon sites but couldn't find it. If it does exist, wow, 25% off?!

Actually, I believe if you take 10% off, then 15% (or vice versa), your total discount is 23.5%, not 25%. I guess its close enough though.

i think the news.com article said that HP would stop supplying printers in october if dell entered the printer business. as for the rest, i don't know.

Holy @!@#@$@!

I just picked up the Canon A40. WITH FREE NEXT DAY SHIPPING!! (even though I think they are out of stock, its still cool)

Got the 10% off, +5%, and the Next Day Shipping ($19 value) ( COULDN'T FIND THAT 15% off one)

Total of about $256

I don't know if the free Next Day was just something with my account or what, but you might want to hurry and try it! Did Dell make a booboo or am I just flipping out?!?!?

Bummer, even though I selected "next day shipping," and they charged $19 and then discounted $19, I just got my tracking number on my Dell order status and they shipped it UPS ground.
