I don't see it either.

I know it was a single use only. FatWallet has a thread talking about it, but it wasn't from the webpage itself. It was something they got from emails.

Well, when I get on the epp site, there is a button at bottom says current promotion. it started 10/31 for the #50 off. basically you click on the "get coupon" button and they will ask for your email address and send the coupon code to you. I don't think it's for my epp only.

Mine doesn't have that. There's nowhere on the page that says "current promotions". There is a button that says "view all promotions" but it does not have a 50% off coupon.

Everyone just use this :)

It sends you a 50$ off coupon to your email immediately.

it's too bad all of dell's 15" notebooks have craptacular graphics cards. why can't they stick an x1600 in there, at least?

That's the whole reason I'd have to get a 1705. It comes with a 7900 GS. The 1505 only has a x1400. That's lame.

Yeah that's what I meant. $50 not 50% lol 50% would make this a smoking hot deal

My bad, It was my typo. I knew what you meant. There's not a 50$ off coupon on my EPP website. It's basically YMMV.

But the website I provided will send it to everyone.

how can i sign up for a Dell EPP account? Also, my laptop comes out to $1341 pretax and shipping. Then for some dumb reason DELL shows the 30% discount off of $1441 and it only goes down to like $1000. How are people going from $1299 to $788 or whatever it is?

I can confirm this, I entered my name (Bob Barker) and my personal non-work-non-EPP-yahoo email address last night. 2 minutes later I received a $50 coupon via e-mail and it worked :)

I'm glad so many people were able to take advantage of this deal - there are some nice setups in this thread. I missed out on the extra $50 myself but still feel like I got a sweet deal.

Of course replacing my 15" with a 17" meant a new case. For those in need, and if you like the style, I suggest you look at the Pegasus backpack from SwissGear. The best deal I could find for it is at Buy.com for $57 after GCO with free shipping - $20 less than Amazon! Be warned though, the reviews say its a tight fit for the E1705.

Edit: started a new thread for the laptop backpack

'TBF' - sorry I can't help you with how the different discounts may stack. Dell seems pretty touchy about that stuff - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Maybe someone here or at FW has found a way to make it work.

I'm not seeing the 30% off coupon. The only one I see is a save "up to" $345 on select Inspiron laptops.

You enjoy 30 minutes of battery life?

Oh wait, 9 cell battery.

45 minutes of battery life...

Its probably battery/thermal constraints in such a small space.

I ordered one of these for a friend last night. He decked it out with the 160gb hd, 2gb ram, bluetooth, 4 year warranty + accidental and it only came out to $1350. Damn good deal imo
