dell hardrive onsale...can i use it for custom made pc and not dell?

Dell has this drive "Hard Drive; 60GB IDE 7.2K RPM for Dell Dimension LXXX " on sale....this is like any other hardrive where i can just plug in and play right? If so, then why does it refer to this drive for dell dimension ?
 
lucky164, if it's an IDE HD, then it would work w/ any computer, Dell branded or not. Hope this helps.

So the people who DON'T ask questions will buy it from them, fearing other HDDs won't work in their system. That's what makes them the general public! 🙂
