i really like how the internals of dell's cases are organized with the tracks on the hard drives that slide into the hard drive enclosure

have a dell dim 8400 ... only has an enclosure for 2 hds, but 4 sata ports

was wondering if anyone knew wehre i could find another drive bay enclosure for another 2hds ... the ones for the floppy drives is a just a tad too small for the hard disk.

i dont know if my terminology is correct... but by enclosure i mean the piece of metal that is formed into a rectangular prism, and it holds the hard drives inside the case

i hope this post makes a bit of sense... i'm looking for another similar "rectangular prism" with the green tracks so i can slide 2 more hds into my case.

thanks

You can order add-on drive racks for their 42x2 series of cases. It consists of a mounting plate that mounts with only two drilled holes and a 2-drive bracket that clips to the plate with a lever - should easily mount into any case that has the room. Not very expensive. Here is a link: http://www.evercase.com/newsite/2product/gc4292.htm Look at the inside view picture and you'll see one of the racks hanging under the floppy bays.
. You can also order vibe damper bushings for the drive rack while you are on the phone. No e-commerce on their web site, you have to order by phone. The rack and the vibe dampers are the second and third optional parts on the list.

thanks for the link, but does this allow the hard drive to slide into the bracket on rails? the dell bays have a rail system, where the hard drives and optical drives can slide in and out of the brackets with ease and without the need to screw/unscrew the hard drives to add/remove them.
