Dell hangs at boot.

Working on a mchine that stops at the Dell page before boot. Says F2 to Bios and F12 for Boot menu. After 4 minutes or so it goes on to boot. I figure failing PS or HD. What's your take?

No new hardware.
Sees hd in BIOS
Worked flawlessly for 3 years.

hdd most likely, or a bad virus. Do a dell diagnostic boot, i think its F12 for the boot menu, that should test the hard drive

Could be a bad CAP on the motherboard. Take a look and see if you see any with buldging tops.

Doubt it is a PSU issue.

http://www.badcaps.net/ident/ Read then inspect you board. Go to thier motherboard forum and search Dell. The site owner Topcat has recapped hundreds of Dell mainboards.
