Dell goofed up... should I ask for a concession coupon?

through SB. I live in TX. I ordered a PC for my father in law who lives in AR.

Dell sent the same system to me and to him and, of course, charged me twice.

I ordered on a few weeks ago Saturday and I found out about it first thing Monday morning(2 days later). I called to fix, but it had already been shipped!

i've been going round and round with these folks. After 2 weeks of phone calls I finally get a 'supervisor' (who sounds like she's 19 yrs old). She assures me that they will have it picked up. She asks me for the system number on the box. Well, that's at home, so I didn't have it with me.

I forgot it one day and called her with it the next. That was 4 days ago. I've heard absolutely nothing from them.

My balance was at 0.00. My father in law sent me the money for his, now interesting is going to start accruing for this POS that I never ordered.

Is this reason good enough for a concession coupon? how much he|| do I have to raise to get one? I'm really more interested in getting this thing out of my living room, but the coupon wold be nice.

thanks

I ordered 2 systems a couple of weeks ago, one for parents and one for brother in law. One was defective and one was lost in shipping. The defective one was sent back, and so far they have a total of 3 sitting at the house. On a side note, some of Dell's tech support people are morons.

they're a bunch of freakin yahoos..

she had the gaul to ask me why I waited a month to call..i tore into her saying she should check her case history - I called 2 days after I ordered...and many times after that with only 2 responses.

now, they're sending UPS on Monday or Tuesday to my home address.. i said impossible 'cuz we both work. she said if I left it out and something happened, I'd be responsible.

arranged to have it picked up here at work instead.

I asked her about any interest that accrued. She wants me to fax the statement in. I told her that was a lot of trouble just for a few bucks, so I asked for a concession coupon. but she said she couldn't give me any.

overall, very unhappy with this d3ll experience.

Yes, the interesting is the killer...
Don't flame him....we should give him good advice and watch out for his best interestings.

OP, I would 1) write a letter to DELL and attach a copy of your cc statement showing the accrued interest. In your letter detail how much time has been wasted (both yours and theirs) and ask that they compensate you for the interest and hassle.

EDIT: dartworth hahahah i just saw your joke!

It's too bad you never fvcking learned how to use text-wrap. And how to post intelligible comments.

so they'll just pick it up. before you know it people will start calling every company up and start bitching that the case's color isn't the exact tint as the picture shown on the website.

I dunno, seems like you did the right stuff but she was being a prick. I think she must be the girlfriend of the guy whose girlfriend forgot it was his birthday.

Keep trying til you get one.

Give them a little while longer. If they don't pick it up, dispute the charge, call them up a few more times and if they still don't pick it up you've just gotten yourself a new computer.
