EDIT: They really were extremely nice guys. I was impressed by their SAN products as well. The deal between Dell and EMC looks promising.

I've got Coffe Mug fetish, dunno why but nothing feels better then getting coffe mugs for free 😀 BTW I've worked with Dell's SAN system's pretty good (soft and server hardware + robot) Good Stuff.

We've got one of their SANS. They were out here for 3 days setting it up for us. Don't ask me too many details about it though, I just store a ton of data on there (DBA), I'm not the sysadmin 🙂.

Yeah...I have PGP, Dell, and Cisco mugs on my desk now. 😀 The dell one is bright Dell Blue and the other two are stainless steel. Cool stuff. 😉 I'm made an awesome pot of coffee a min ago here so I'm trying out my new mug RIGHT NOW! w00t!

A good friend of mine makes purchasing decisions for our company. He is constantly in meetings (at lunch, golf, etc.) He says the perks are nice, like the free Laserjet 2200, but he has to deal with idiots pestering him ALLL DAY. IMHO I'd rather be left alone.

I only give out my Email address. I'm lucky enough that I haven't been able to get a business card printed up since I've been here. (budget cuts) Anyhow, I told them up front that I'm just doing research.
