i cant find a cable that looks like this one. i installed a new motherboard on a friends computer and this cable wwent from the front panel to the motherboard. the computer still wont fire up but i broke this cable. i am guessing it connects the power button as the cable from the power button goes to the fromt panel card and this cable then connects it to the motherboard. i cant find this cable anywhere. it says usb 2.0 on it and made by foxconn. i have some pics not very good though. its 33 pin and thats about all i know about it. anyone have any ideas.

first of all, get a better camera ASAP. second of all, that looks like a floppy drive connector. that looks like a parrelel cable and i fail to see why dell would use something like this. but worse come to worse, just buy a $3 switch from RC and connect it to the power pin on the mobo.

Where is the cable broken ? ?
In the middle or is one of the connectors bad ? ?

The Dell computer model would help to locate
an exact replacement.

If you want you could send me the bad cable
I can match it up or find a way to splice it
that will be reliable ... but I need it in hand to do it

here are some much nicer pics. in the last pic you can see the front panel. the cable to the left is the power button and the right slot is where this cable should go. the cable does say usb2.0 on it yet the motherboard slot only says front panel. my guess is that it connects everything from the font to the motherboard and this is why i get no power on. any help would be great. the computer is a dell 4550. the model number is c7tzk21. thanks.
