Hey

I'm just curious as I know a lot of people here have bought these monitors and I too am looking to hop on one of the current promotions, however I'm a bit unsure as to which is better. The 1901 is obviously larger, but I have heard lots of recommendations for the 1800 for better quality and gaming performance. Can anyone qualify this? I'm in college and the primary purpose is to get this CRT off of my desk, and to have a decently large display for doing work and watching movies and occasionally gaming. I have a PNY Ti4400 with DVI if that helps any. Thanks!

I have played through Jedi Academy and Tron 2.0 on the 1901FP. There is slight ghosting but for my eyes essentially unnoticable. I couldn't be happier with the monitor. Only one dead subpixel on the whole panel. My dad has the 1800. The 1800 has the same native resolution and everything is way too small with that size monitor at that resolution. Hence I recommend the 1901FP. I can not attest to gaming performance on the 1800.

BTW - welcome to AT, prepare your rectal dilators (as per DaVinci's post).

That's good to hear the 1901 is fine for games, as I may be getting one soon (I want to limit my radiation exposure, darn it!)

Sorry, my bad, I should've known better as I've been reading the forums for quite a while. Thanks for the replies, I think I'll probably order one tonight depending on whether or not I find a coupon.
