Dell Educational Discount

Does anyone know exactly how this works? I have read on a few forms that you order your machine then call up a CSR and tell them you are a student to get like 8% off. However, I still don't know if this can be combined with other deals or even used in the Dell outlet. Does anyone know the specifics?

you order it from the dell education website....and if there is a discount, you will not really see it. It's that small.

Order through the education section, but as another poster said, any discount is pitifully small.
