The cpu is a little underpowered, but it is faster than an i7 ULV. If I had to pick a latitude, this would be it. I'm not sure what I would do to cut the price down (its $150 over budget), except wait for a coupon code to come along. For these options, it wouldnt take long to get a coupon to bring the price down to $1000.
