From Wikipedia:

Dell provides consumer access to a hidden service menu providing more advanced information and settings, such as the full model number, monitor chip-set, total time used and advanced color options. This menu can be accessed as follows:

Powering off your screen
Holding down MENU and + buttons while powering it on
Release those buttons and enter the MENU
Select FACTORY RESET
Scroll down to FACTORY

So, what is the info for the E228? Thanks

OK...Not too hopeful of getting a reply, but I am bumping this only once in case someone wants to look it up.

For me ... I couldn't find model number/chip-set. However I did find total time used. Hopes that helps.

Thanks for trying. So you say that the above "recipe" doesn't work for this model?

I know it works with my 1906FP and my parents' 1907FPV

To the left UY088 and to the right V8C01. As far as I know all the flatpanels are chenmei unlike the 1907fp which can be AUO or Samsung.

Thanks guys. These number don't tell much. Tried to google them: nothing useful. On my 1907FP at work, the word "samsung", followed by part number, clearly apperars in the panel info.

The maker is Chenmei. As mentioned preiviously no other vendor that I know of is supplying the panels for the Dell 22, unlike the other models (ie 1907 and etc). So in short if you are looking for a samsung, look at another model.
