Seems like a great deal. Even though it's not the ultra sharp, for $217 shipped can you go wrong?

It's an analog connector only. An LCD without DVI is just a waste of money.

i have 2 19" lcds right next to each other, one DVI and the other VGA input. 1280x1024, 32bit. The text on the DVI is much sharper.

edit: resolution

Same monitors? Any gaming differences?

Even still, $100 more for a DVI input is just too much for me.

LONG LIVE ANALOG!

It seems to me that you wouldn't get the sharpest text on any LCD that is not displaying at it's native resolution because you'd get interpolation and thus fuzzier text. I'd have to guess that the native resolution of 19" LCD is not 1280x768... most are 1200x1024 and some are higher.

I have a 19in LCD that I run on analog because i use a 9600pro AIW and it doesn't have DVI output. (The monitor has DVI in) I run it at the native resolution of 1200x1024 and I play some battlefield with it. i am not a hardcor gamer, but there is no noticable ghosting in BFV and I am generally happy with the way it looks. Counter Strike is a different story, there was lots of ghosting, I had to stop playing. Is dvi worth it? Not for me right now, I don't have the cash for a new card that will suit my needs and I like the way my monitor looks in the application I use it in (browsing the web, some gaming). And im using a 19in, for a 17in, DVI is even less of an issue. if you want a general use monitor my feeling is that you should buy the best deal you can get on an LCD in whatever size you want, and don't worry about DVI. If you are a hardcore gamer why buy an LCD anyway?

78 rpm vinyl, baby!

I'm waiting for the 8-tracks to come down in price a little before I dive in.

On another note, I just got a sweet deal on a Sony Betamax at a garage sale. (I'm the only one on my block that has one.)

Wouldn't ghosting be a function of response time, not input?
