ok so i tried to freshen up my new laptop by deleting all the junk from my new dell. i accidentally somehow deleted something that erased my dvd/cd driver, and from reading forums i saw that it was the mediadirect repair utility driver, it said to create a boot cd (which i did from another laptop) and i did the rest of the instructions, but no luck. anyone know wat i can do? thanks in advance

you still have that 40mb partiton? if so burn the img with nero or something. reboot the computer and press f12. select the cd/dvd drive and cd\md2 press enter and then type repair
