I want to reemphasize your post. This is a lot bigger news than people are giving credit. Maybe in six months some people start to address the ATI merger as a good thing.

Granted, they still have AMD based systems, but you have to admit they cut way back for typical home users. I looked around a bit and the system you linked (Inspiron 531) is the only one I could find in the "Home and Home Office" section. And even then, when you first go into the home section, the processor is not listed on the "narrow results" tab so they're practically hiding it.
