Hey guys if you pick the 18 inch ultrasharp LCD with the deal it come out to 382.50 plus tax.

I think that is well worth it also to add with the PC.

does this board support ATA 133?

Yes, I deffinatly think so. It is good for the money. Just the memory didn't run as fast as they wished it to, so they are selling them off real cheap. If you visit HardOCP.COM, you can find out how to overclock it and cool it better.

http://www.dell.com/us/en/dhs/products/model_dimen_3_dimen_4550.htm#tabtop, this will only support a ATA100 HD. However, any techie will tell you that the difference between ATA100 and 133 is usually not even noticable, because the HD controller rarely sends information near that speed, only in a few random quick bursts is anything over 100 sent. What will make a big difference, is the RPM of the HD and how well defragged it is.

4x is the fastest DVD-R/+R on the market currently. It will burn 4.36 GB in a little less than 15 minutes.

no, you do not get both drives... the DVD+R drive is capable of also being a CDRW drive, but with a max of 16x writing, compared to 48x of the CDRW only drive.

note: the speed ratings for DVD and CD are different. Here is an equivalent table.

2x --- 18x
4x --- 36x
5x --- 45x
6x --- 54x
8x --- 72x
 
Does anyone know if the 4x is the write speed of DVD or CD writing ? I doubt it would be for CD writing... but wanted to know from someone who knows more than me
