If the CDRW or DVD and the All-In-One Printer are truly free, why do these systems have different prices? The first choice (CDRW or DVD) shows $1,009 and the second choice (All-In-One) shows $1,129. WTF?! They're the same exact system except for the "free" options.
That's what I can't stand about Dell. Even beyond this promotion, the price differences between Dell Home and Dell Small Biz are ridiculous - and don't make any sense either...
For example, why not just go into the Small Biz dep't and get a 4300S (1.6ghz, No Monitor) for $599? Not apples to apples, but illustrates my point.

Just for the record - it doesn't appear that you can get both the CDRW and the Palm M105 - if you configure the system for the free CDRW upgrade the M105 vanishes.

1) Those $75 coupons we received on the Dell catalogs a few weeks ago, when did/do those expire?
2) If the above mentioned $75 coupon is still available, can that be combined with any other coupon such as a $25 off coupon?
3) I can order through eBates to save another 2% ($13.38).
4) I?ll order with my CitiBank VISA which automatically doubles my warranty. I?ve decided that unless you order a top of the line $2,500 or higher desktop system or laptop that a 3 year warranty is a waste of money. I?m trying to get this system as close to $600 as possible.

Oh boy I've got a tough decision now, whether to buy this sytem at all and if I do whether to go with the 4300 for $100 or the 4300S for a $100 savings ... last but not least go with Dell Home or Small Business. I live in Oregon which has no sales tax, so the Small Business charges me 0.00 tax so that's not an issue.

settle down guys and wait for the p4+ddr machines (late jan)... the current 845 sdram based p4 systems are castrated...
Actually, the P4 + DDR systems (Intel 845D chipset) should be coming sooner than January. I read a few news reports online that indicate Intel has been quietly shipping these to OEM's for a few weeks and would allow them to debut on Monday 12-17. That's pretty soon! Not sure if Dell would offer them right away or whether it would take a little time to hit their online store...

I wanted to put in my 2 cents. I originally bought one of the 4300 Dell's on the Killer deal of all deals day (the one day that 4 specials were on). I got it and it is AWESOME. You know, it may only have SDRAM, but it is VERY fast, especially for the price.
I was fortunate enough to order 2 more on another day when 4 specials aligned and now have 3 computers, and I added in the 2x256 from Crucial, and could not be happier. With Windows XP Home, and a Dell with nice specs, the toolless case, I LOVE IT! I even put in one of the Dell Radeon 8500's!

THIS IS COMPLETE BULLSHIT....I knew that Dell was F*CkING with the price with this free sh*t. DealMonkey makes a good point a system configured with the so called "FREE all in one printer" is priced about 30 bucks higher. DELL Needs to get a good ass wipping by the FTC or Someone.

ashneel - Thanks but my wife doesn't need that much "power". Truth be told a refurbished eMachines Celery 733 for $199 would probably do the job, I just want a trouble free, reasonably fast, somewhat loaded Dell which costs around $600-$700. Already have a Samsung SyncMaster 753DF which I picked up for $89 from Dell, sweet deal!
