purchased a dell d600 from an estate sale. put my win xp on it but it didnot pick up many drivers. i need video, modem, sound, netsworking,etc. i can get the drivers from dell website. but how do i find out what devices are in the laptop. any help appreciated Arthur
 
If your laptop has the service tag on the bottom you can put that into Dell's site and it will list the stuff that is supported in that model. Sometimes there are multiple things but then you just have to try to install each one.
