Dell connectors

Hey all:
My girlfriend has an older dell (P3), and is looking to upgrade her video card and kind of wants a DVD drive. I've heard people say that dell has connectors that don't work with standard parts, anyone know if this is true, and if it is, the specific connectors it refers to?
thanks in advance-

We use Dell Optiplex PC's at work and they have the standard connections on them for power and drives. We run a mixture of P2, P3, and P4 machines. Not sure about Dell Dimension models though.

The dell ATX power supply connector is "different". The agp/pci slots are the same and the 4pin molex connectors for the harddrive, dvd drive, etc are still the same. You should not have any problems.
