dell...can i upgrade the vid card?

it a dimensions l933r.........looks like onboard video and no agp slot....can i upgrade, has anoyone, and with what........
its a work computer.....not my fault =)

you should be able to, howver you would have to go with a PCI card. You can get Voodoo 4's/5's, Geforce 2's (mostly MX's) and ATI's i think. You would also have to disable the onboard video via either a jumpere on the mobo or via the BIOS.

it shouldn't be a problem, just make a bios setting change if it doesn't do it by itself
voodoo4/5 or geforce2 mx 400 is the way to go for gaming

but a radeon sdr pci or matox maybe best for work stuff, depend on what kinda apps you run
