Dell AS500 Sound Bar....

They look better than they sound. Sound quality is unremarkable. It's fine for a set of office speakers, but not if your're a gamer or a music lover.

 thanks!

We have some of those here at work and their plus is that they are an incredible space saver. Beyond that, they aren't worth it.

So if desk space is a premium they are worth considering.

I just got my order done for the never 1704fp. Would the bar still fit this one, or have they changed the frame around? Dell phone support keeps me on hold forever.

Great monitor, enjoy it!

The answer is yes. My proof is when I price out a Dimension 4700 under the SMB channel, here are the pertinent speaker options:

Dell AS500 PA 14W Flat Panel Stereo Speakers for E153,E173,E193 Flat Panels [add $40 or $1/month1]

Dell AS500 14W Flat Panel Stereo Spkrs for 1704FP,1905FP,2001FP Flat Panels [add $40 or $1/month1]

Nice find. It only stated the 1703 under the item description. Now off to ebay to find it cheaper. 😀

That's one of my gripes with their website. Items are often listed differently depending on where you look...
