Dell and Lost Cheque.

I have filed a return/refund on Dec.12, 2005 and a cheque has been issued on Dec.14, 2005, as according to the rep. However, as of today (Jan.11, 2006), I still have NOT received my cheque. So I called up today and told the rep. my situation. She put me on hold for like 8 minutes and then she came back on, "Sir there's not much we can do!". I was like WTF...so I had to tell her to tell the other department to cancel the other cheque and issue another one...

Anyhow, here's my question: if someone has stole my cheque and cashed it, is it possible? If the cheque is really cashed by someone else, where can I go and/or what can I do??

Please advise! Thanks in advance.

unless your identification/signature was forged a check wouldn't be able to be cashed by just anyone.

cancelling and re-issuing the check is probably the best idea for both parties; if it does turn out cashed then get in contact with the OPP for options
