I probably wouldn't buy one, but I think it could be a shot in the arm for AMD. As Wingznut and Evan Lieb said, it could be hard for AMD for several reasons, including being able to produce the amount of chips needed if the demand grew. I'll post back if I find the thread..

If Dell kicks out an nForce2-based Optiplex to compete with HP's d325 (nF2 IGP + AthlonXP), I'll raise Cain to get our non-profit agency to start buying them instead of the Optiplex GX60's they picked last fiscal year (i845GV + Fluffaron). For now, I've been raising Cain for them to at least pick Optiplex GX270's or some other P4-powered option.

Which is another way of saying that the demand for AMD's product is very solid, if they can't make enough to meet the market's desire for their product. Maybe they can call them "limited-edition" models and charge more 😀
