Dell A940 printer - what is it?

I assume the A940 is a rebadged something. Can someone tell me what it is? Any experience with it?

That's what I red, but I also read that Lexmark cartridges won't work in a the Dell branded printer. Anyone else hear this?

Yeah. My dad wanted that along with a Dell laptop. I asked the Dell rep and asked him if their printers were, indeed rebadged Lexmark printers... he said yes. My next question was if you can use Lexmark ink cartridges... ANSWER WAS NOOOOOOOOO.

I would say so...in the first place, Lexmark printer reliability is nothing to write home about, plus the insane cost of their ink...make a proprietary Dell/Lexmark ink and your looking at astronomical costs without anything special in performance to justify it.

dell should'nt have started selling these printers in the first place. hps and epson were perfectly fine.
