I have a dell 8300, the FSB is supposed to 400 Mhz, yet in a few programs it comes up as 200 Mhz. Config is:

Field Value
DIMM1: 88L5HDL0-1RDG 512 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (3.0-3-3-8 @ 200 MHz) (2.5-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz) (2.0-2-2-6 @ 133 MHz)
Field Value
DIMM2: Micron Tech. 4VDDT1664AG-40BC3 128 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (3.0-3-3-8 @ 200 MHz) (2.5-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz) (2.0-2-2-6 @ 133 MHz)
Field Value
DIMM3: 88L5HDL0-1RDG 512 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (3.0-3-3-8 @ 200 MHz) (2.5-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz) (2.0-2-2-6 @ 133 MHz)
Field Value
DIMM4: Micron Tech. 4VDDT1664AG-40BC3 128 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (3.0-3-3-8 @ 200 MHz) (2.5-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz) (2.0-2-2-6 @ 133 MHz)

Let me know what the deal is.

The FSB is the bus between the processor and the memory controller. What you're seeing is the memory speed, the memory runs at 200MHz but double pumped to have an effective speed of 400MHz.

Your FSB should be 800MHz. P4 is quad pumped so if your seeing 200 then x4 = 800. You would see 133 if it was 533MHz FSB.
