Dell 700M Problem with Screen

While I was using my laptop, the screen suddenly turned completely white. I was able to shutdown by holding the power switch for a few seconds but when I restarted, the white screen still remained. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Try reseating the monitor connector on the motherboard, but that would require a consoltation to the Dell Service Manual for the 700M and some disassembly of the laptop.

Maybe also consult the troubleshooting section of the 700m's owner's manual. It might have a suggestion or two for what could be the problem. Otherwise, as much as you may hate to do it (if you are still under warranty), you may have to call Dell and talk with their support.
