Most Dells seem to use modified Intel boards. See if you can find out from Dell tech support. If it is an Intel board you can try Motherboard Monitor or Intel's Active Monitor. If it's not an Intel board it may be an Asus board in which case MBM may work, or maybe try Asus' "PC-probe".

I've tried both the Intel Active monitor and MBMonitor. The Intel Active Monitor would NOT install on either of my Dell's...and MBMonitor gave me no choice in monitoring chipset, even in Debug mode. So still searching.

Thanks for the tips though...:)

MBM wouldn't let you choose the type of chip? or do you mean chipset? MBM has a wide varity of chips it supports, did you try them all?

I only tried one time on MBM, but it gave me nothing in the list for chipset?

I'm using it on about 10 other PC's and the Dell's are the only ones it won't pick up on....but I may try again....

/me goes to try one more time!

Intel ActiveMonitor won't install on my system either! It just starts IKernel.exe and uses up 99% CPU Usage!

Not sure yet...but I downloaded a newer version of MBM and it still had NOTHING listed for chipsets for this board. Had only "NONE" or "CUSTOM" listed for all fan, voltage, temperature, etc. sensors. Had same 99% effect (stuck) when trying to install the Intel monitor.

Keep on looking....

At the price that Dell was selling those units, temperature monitoring might be a luxury.
