I came home today to find my dell was powered down. So i powered it up and it asked me for a password ( I guess the BIOS password). I never set one and was wondering if there is a default one?

Dell Support: Disabling a forgotten password on Dell 400SC

I own six 400SCs and have never seen a request for a BIOS Password, so I doubt there's a "Default Value".

I'd change out the battery, use the password jumper as described above, and see what happens.

Don't forget that 30-50% of all Dell 400SCs have defective power capacitors on the motherboard, which will result in bulging/leakage, and likely eventual failure of the motherboard. First signs are self-reboots and difficulty starting up the server. Eventually it won't start up at all.

Found it right after I posted, thanks for the headsup.
