I've had my Dell 3007WFP-HC for a few months now. For the most part, it works great with good colors and no dead pixels. I have 2 problems however:
1) Every 20 minutes or so, the whole screen flickers for about 1/2 a second. It flickers on both my PCs - Macbook Pro and a Intel desktop PC with Nvidia 8800GT graphics card, so it is not graphics card related. I have a 6 foot long dual-link DVI cable, should I replace it with 3 foot long one? Or is this a common problem?
2) Unless I put brightness at 100%, there is a high pitched sound that is very annoying coming from the monitor at lower levels of brightness. I have read this is pretty common with all 30" monitors, but is there any way I can get rid of it? 100% brightness is silent, but the screen is WAY too bright for my eyes. When I use my PC, it's tolerable because the fans of my PC are loud. But when I use my silent Macbook Pro, it drives me crazy.
Thanks guys, looking forward to your responses.
