I actually was at the mall this weekend and I thought that it would look awesome on my desk as a monitor.. it has the nicest casing i've seen for a lcd panel.

Because even though its 26", the max resolution is only 1280x768. Most 20" LCDs do 1600x1200. 1280x768 on 26" is gonna make everything seem huge if you're right up close to it (i.e. typical desktop use).

If you're looking for a good, large LCD, take a look at the 2405FP.

"Max Resolution: 1280x768 Pixels (WXGA)", well, that's why. Maybe this is a nice TV, but u can't compare it with a computer monitor of that size.
What's HDTV 1080i good for on such a screen anyway?

Not to mention this panel is VERY behind the curve - a 25ms response time on such a large panel WOULD be noticeable.

Dell needs to get new models into production FAST.

that would svck as a monitor, be like having a huge 15" monitor thats a little wider.
