I have to ask how much of a hit will this new 1900X1200 resolution do to my x1800xt? Will games like BF2, CS:S, and COD2 have to be held back a resolution? Right now I can play any of those games maxed out with 1280X1024. I know AA/AF usually puts a lot of strain on cards, but I have to ask how much the actual screen resolution puts on them.

I'm not familiar with ATIs cards, but my 7900gs works well with Ut2k4, HL2, and DoomIII. I have good frame rates with these games at max settings no aa or af.

Well it runs in widescreen if you force it by adding +szx 1280 +szy 720 to the target line so I assume it would work with the other resolution. As long as it will look awesome I will be happy.

well if you don't run a game on a LCD's native res it just doesn't look to good IMO. Your best bet is running all your games at native res and if they don't run good maxed out(chances are some won't) just drop the detail settings till it's playable.
