Dell 2407WFP or Samsung 244T

Dell 2407WFP: $724.99
Samsung 244T: $858.13

Both prices are after taxes, S&H and current applicable savings. Both monitors have comparable features (notably the HDCP capability), with Dell have a few extra media card reader outlets. I have heard that since the originally banding issues have been resolved with Dell the monitor is now on par with the Samsung 244T for ~$130 less. Also, Dell gives you a 3 year warrently plan for free, while such a plan would cost an additional $159.99 for the Samsung. Is the Samsung worth the extra cost or would I be satisfied having the Dell (I plan on keeping the monitor for many years). Thanks alot.

I think they are actually the same screen so go with whichever gets you the best deal. I'd probably go with Dell for the warranty.

I received a Dell 2407WFP yesterday. So far I'm very happy with it's quality. Lots of ports that I'll probably never use, but the media card reader is something that is nice to use.

Dell Deals is currently showing a POSSIBLE price of $611 with 15% off plus a coupon. YMMV

Got me looking at it, I've been waiting on a deal for a pair of 20 inchers.
