Dell 2407fwp .. is like a giant heater.. It is hotter than my 32 sony tv ..

My Gateway 24" runs hot as well. If I stick my face close to the screen I swear I'm getting a tan.

That's strange. I'm feeling over the top of my 2407 and it's only slightly warm at it's hottest point and almost cool everywhere else.

My BenQ 24" also runs hot and so did its predecessor (which I RMAed because it had two bad pixels). I can feel the heat on the top and even in front of the screen if I place my hand close to it. I guess it's the big backlight.

Mine (Rev A04) is lukewarm on the back where there are exhaust type slits (near the Dell logo) mostly on the top right corner, but it is not hot at all. And it generates nowhere near as much heat as my old 19in Samsung CRT did.

Ok, so they get warm. Is this a bad thing? I've actually been thinking about getting a Dell 2407 and, for the most part, I've heard good things...
