Hi all,

I am new to this forum, and I think this forum is great!

I am building a fx55 system, with a x850 xt pe card and a HDTV wonder tuner, now is time for for me to get a nice LCD. I already have a SiliconGraphic LCD, that I am sure it is HDTV compatible; but somehow wanted a bigger LCD for live sports. It looks like the Dell 2405fpw is perfect to me, but I don't know whether it is HDTV compatible, since it is not specifically clear from the Dell site. So does anyone knows?

Thanks

Depends on what you mean by "compatible".

Can it display all current HDTV content in native resolution? Yes.
Does it show OTA HDTV content with the ATI HDTV Wonder? Yes (and it's gorgeous).

Does it have a HDMI connector? No.
Does is it HDCP compatible over its DVI connector? No.

If I understand it correctly, it means the 2405fpw do not have the 1080x720 HDTV resolution right?

thanks loopy

It has better than that it has 1920x1200 which means it can display 1920x1080 (1080i,p) and lower resolutions such as 720P and 480P
