Dell 24" 248 screen position off please help

So here is what happen I had to set the the position to the right from 50 to 52 on VGA connection before i got new video card in. Now on DVI the position setting is blacked set to 50 but set to the right and off the screen. I have to goto the menu then factory reset then reset the position settings only EVERY TIME the monitor turns on. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have tried to hook back up to VGA but the position setting is still blacked out. I am sick of having to reset every time i turn on the monitor or load up a game. help

um, dont you have an auto adjust button?

And, does adjusting it manually work (at least once?)?

no auto adjust, but it has a position adjust which is greyed out. And it has reset to factory settings which if i do that it puts it in the correct position, but as soon as the monitor turns off it goes back to the wrong position 🙁

Its so frustrating

I guess you could never turn it off... I don't know how much power standby takes but it probably isn't much (I never really turn mine off).
