I have yet to own an LCD, but I am currently out of desk space and need more room, so ive decided to replace my huge clunky 1999 crt.

Between 5ms and 2ms I realize during gaming the difference is negligible, but the 2ms version is only $30 more and I want to really treat myself.

Is dell still the high-quality standard for LCD's?

Is this deal worth it or does it drop lower from time to time?

Thanks

Aaron

I wouldn't say $279 for a 22" is a great deal anymore. If I was spending that much I'd shoot for a 24" and spend a bit more, or find a 22" on sale for less.

What should the price range for a good 22" be? I just bought a L227WTG-PF for $300 at BB this weekend.

I've been looking at this monitor as well. Cnet has a very positive review, but I've also seen a lot of complaints about poor text in the Dell forums and elsewhere.

I guess I will run up to BB today to see if they have one on display.
