Well truth is if this is still a S-IPS panel then at $339 this is a pretty hard deal to beat.

I heard some people say they are now PVA panels.

I also heard there where some banding issues with them, beyond that I don't know if there has been anything else.

Truth is I'm not a Dell fan in any way, and have really had my eyes on a NEC 19" that is also a S-IPS panel, but it's not wide screen and just as expensive.

Right now is $339 the best deal one of these can be had for?

They're an awesome deal at $340, easily the best LCD you can get for that price. Banding is gone if you use the Desktop mode in the monitor setup (and everybody should). Some are S-PVAs, but that's still an awesome deal.

I just got mine in the mail 2 days ago - upgraded from my 5-6 year old P991. Let me tell you, this thing is sex. No banding(I have the A03), vivid color, native support for HD (been watching a lot of movie trailers lately, lol)

I use my computer a lot, so I look at it as a sound investment. I expect this will last me for years as well. However, I got mine from Dell for $679 + tax and shipping, and that was with them running a special for $120 off.

My opinion - if you use your computer more than an hour a day, spend the extra $$. You won't regret it.

I'm pretty sure the Chi Mei Opto 22" TNs panels have much worse bleeding than the S-IPS or S-PVA used in the Dell. As a matter of fact, they are also inferior in every other aspect (contrast, color depth, response time, viewing angle) except for size.

Dude i use a Chimei 22" , Dell 2005FPW and Benq 17" LCD at home. At work i use a Dell 2007FPW and sometimes Apple 30" Cinema.

Apple 30" sucks since it can't be adjusted !
Dell 2007FPW bleeds and gives my eye strain :!
Chimei 22" is awesome
Dell 2405FPW rocks at movies and games :!

Get a 2007wfp, you'll love it. If you live in North America you'll most likely get a revision A03 (made in mexico) which has corrected any issues that were seen in the past. I've owned many different monitors from Viewsonic, NEC, and Dell and the 2007wfp has been great.

how do i find out what panel i have... ? (i'm about to order a 2007wfp and i'm very worried b/c my recent experiences with the ****** samsung panels in dell's consumer notebooks.. already sent back two laptops and am crossing my fingers for a lg panel in the new one). i know how to check the panel type on a laptop via the hardware manager, but how do you do it on a desktop? D:

god i hate this bs panel lottery... and the people on the phone generally don't know what ur talking about and obviously cant specify the panel >:[
