ok I'm getting myself a new build, its been a while. I've owned notebooks since P3 and now I need a nice gaming set up.

I'll be getting an X1900XT and then I will be eventually running crossfire, so I'm not sure if dual monitors are the way to go.

So how is the Dell 20" widescreen? The banding issue is desktop mode seems to be resolved, and I need the height adjustments etc. I was looking at the Viewsonic for a while but the X backlight bleeding didn't impress me, and for 50-60 more I can get the dell with extra inputs etc.

Then I started looking at 19" widescreens and I could easily get one for $200 bucks. So for 400 I could get 2 19" widescreens and a ton of desktop space, which i need!! (but then crossfire/dual monitor concerns)

So what should I do I'm confused!

Veiwsonic VX2025wm.

It's only $319ish (yeah, ONLY...lol) so it's under your $400 budget mark. I own one and love it. Some person picked it up at a local place for $300 after MIR, not sure were that was though.

My Viewsonic VX2025 Review.

You can also find some other reviews of the monitor at Hard Forum's and just by googling.

Once you tweak everything out the thing looks great. A little blan at stock settings but like I said it takes a little bit of tweaking (lower gamma, raise Digital Vibrance, play with bright. contrast, etc.) to get the monitor perfect but I LOVE it.
