Dell 2005 scaling question

(im talking about the 2405 now) If your game doesnt support widescreen (1920x1200), how would you scale the rez? A way will be 1680x1050 or simply 1600x1200 with just black bars at the side.

But for the 2005, what will the rez be if i dont want to run the game in widescreen?

xxxx*1080?

or if i want a smaller widescreen image... what should the rez be?

If i am not clear... ask 🙂

I'm not entirely sure I understand your questions - but if you want the largest 4:3 resolution you can display on the 2005FPW, it'll be 1400x1050. As for a smaller widescreen resolution...there are lots of them (you could really add almost anything through your drivers). I tend to use 1280x800 when I need a lower widescreen resolution (for better performance in games) - it's still the correct 16:10 aspect ratio for the monitor.

In most of the game I play if 1680x1050 isn't available the only other option is 1280x1024, which does distort the image but it's not that bad IMHO.

considering that 1280x1024 is 1.25 which 1680x1050 is 1.6

your better off using 1024x768 to reduce stretching
