Dell 2005 fpw

I have had a dell 2005 since last Dec. As of late, within the last 10 days I have noticed some, for a lack of better words, streaking on the view screen...trying to describe it is somewhat difficult but as best I can say is that (and it is getting worse) dark lines run down the screen. I notice them on the right side and near the middle. Especially on my blue desktop they are prevelant. I would say they are approximately 1/2 cm in thickness. I am trying to find some type of warranty documention on their site but haven't been successful. If my memory serves me right I think they have a one year warranty. Anybody have a similiar problem with a monitor from Dell and how did Dell respond.

I just finished going thru all my paperwork and found nothing to indicate a warranty and their website didn't help much either (very evasive)...any thoughts? will try dell tommorrow...dread that...

i had to return my original 2005fpw and dell sent me a replacement which was a refurb. it was in perfect condition so i was happy with the replacement. this was about 30 days after purchasing the original and they are covered by a 3 year warranty.

but i think the warranty is not transferable. but if you are the original owner the you are good to go.

If you bought the monitor with a system the warranty will be the same as the computer's warranty.

If you bought the monitor seperately you've got a 3 year warranty.
