Say, does anyone know a good resolution to run this monitor at for games? Obviously most of us are not running video games at 1600 x 1200 (The native resolution of this lcd) and I was wondering if there were any other "Optimal" resolutions not listed in the factory specifications. Also, I tried using this monitor on 1600 x 1200 with my geforce 3 but it only let me use 16 bit color rather than 32 bit - also, when I try and go into display->properties->advanced, the entire screen goes black NO MATTER which resolution I use! What gives?? :/ Thx

Try 1024X768 (32-bit) if your GF3 card supports it. That's what I use with the 2001FP I have. I use a PNY GF4 Ti4200 (64mb, 4x AGP) BTW. Good luck.

its your vid card holding you back. you'll need a stronger vid card to support the higher resolutions with 32bit.

Yes, thank you for the replies, but what about the screen being black until the windows loading screen and when I click advance on display properties? How am I supposed to access the precious mother known as BIOS?

BS. running 1600x1200x32 should be no problem on any card with more than 8MB of memory. i suspect driver issues.

800x600 would be the perfect resolution other than 16x12 for your monitor. with 800x600, for every 1 pixel the video card outputs, there will be a square of 4 pixels displayed by the monitor.
