New CPU on the way and new Dell 2001FP on the way as well. My preliminary research suggests that the 2001FP does not have the software or the drivers to properly utilize the pivot function, correct?

Question what driver software or driver did you install and use.

NVIDIA owners need not answer, as I understand your cards come with some kind of pivoting software. My video card will be the ATI Radeon 9600XT?does anyone have this card and is able to pivot the monitor and the image on the screen as well. Or does anyone have suggestions for my set-up?

First post?thanks for your help.

You have to edit the registry then there will be a rotation tab in the advanced display properties.
Will try to find the thread with what to edit.

Go to run type regedit. Go to hkey local machine, software, ati technologies, click the desktop folder. Click on the string of long numbers. Then look for rotation and change value
from 00 00 00 00 to 01 00 00 00. Then a rotation tab will be available in your advanced display properties.

Hey Viper,

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll try this when everything gets here....soon I hope. BTW, do you know if the software from PIVOT Displays works with all monitors and cards?

Just a FYI, the Radeon rotation tab has come and gone with various control panels versions (mostly gone), but I think it is was in the last one by default. Anyhoo, you know how to add it if it ain't.
