Dell 2000FP LCD - who makes it?

Does anyone know the manufacturer and technology type behind this screen? Dell is scant with details...

wow! You had to go digging for that one. Thanks and welcome to the forums!

The specs do look good - at least the few that I can find. And a couple of other forum members have them and of course sing their praises. How bad could a 20" LCD be?

Trying hard to make an informed decision since the latest trend in LCDs seems to be Pixelworks (aka Optisync). So far its unclear if Acer uses this technology or not.

Good to know. Thanks.

So how is it? Anything you particularly love or depsise about it? And what was your previous screen?

It appears the 2000FP does not pivot from landscape to portrait (like some Viewsonics and other lcd panels do). Anyone know if its feasible to make it pivot using a VESA arm, or by fabricating a pivot mount? Could I use another company's software to pivot the image? Does "ScreenPro? 3.0" from MonitorsDirect include a function to pivot the image?

Most wall mount arms allow the unit to pivot.

No Screenpro or BigMonitor software does not have a pivot function.
