Dell

Maybe I'm a moron, but I can't find much information on the stupid thing on their web page . . . I know it has a 25ms pixel response, but I'm not sure about the inputs . . . does it have DVI?

Ditto. For 1600 clams you can't beat it. I'm waiting until Dell's next monitor promotion . . .

Apex, do you have one of these? I don't see where it indicates what kind of connectors the thing has in your link. I didn't see a review at your website.

I have (2) of them, and both have excessive dead pixels, and one turns itself off if you touch it the wrong way. I will call Dell Monday for another replacement.

I will tell you that this is the finest LCD I have ever laid my eyes on, and it has a slew of inputs. 15pin DSub, DVI, Svideo, and composite (rca).

More specs for the 2000FP

John . . .

When you say excessive dead pixels, what do you mean exactly? If they came from the factory that way, that doesn't sound promising. Also, does Dell include a DVI cable?

LCD's are considered "good" even if they have 5 dead pixels. 6 or more and the manufacturer wont use it, but 5 is acceptable to them. Its all about trying the monitor you are buying out before laying down the $$$. Just to make sure the dead pixels are noticable.

The 2000FP comes with a 15pin DSub and DVI cable. I see no ghosting during gaming or DVD movies, and the image quality is astounding. I always seem to have the worst luck when making expensive purchases. :(

Yeah, I do have one. I've heard from Dell that they plan on having some more coupons for the holiday season, so you may be able to get it for under $1600. I got mine when there was a 20% off coupon (home store, no tax for California), a $50 off promotion, and free shipping. $1229 shipped here.

I was kind of lucky in that mine had no dead nor even stuck pixels. Haven't seen any ghosting in Q3 and DVD's (but then again, I'm not the best gamer, so your experience may vary).
