put this in video also but do not know how active that place is.
I just got my Dell 2000fp and I am having trouble with it. I have a LEADTEK GF3 non-ti using dvi@1600x1200x32. There are little lines that shoot across the screen. Has any body had this problem or know how to fix it?

I have that exact setup and have never experienced any problems, even through multiple drivers.

Does this happen both in DVI and VGA?

Have you:

Perform display reset?
Adjust Phase and Clock controls via OSD ?
Push Auto key ?
Perform display self test feature check ?
Check for bent or broken pins ?

I have a 2000fp and a LeadTek gf3 ti500 running at 1600x1200x32 using the DVI cable and am having no problems whatsoever. I've used the 23.11 drivers and am currently using 27.10 drivers I got from somewhere. I've never tried the VGA cable.

Try both. I'd try nVidia's latest, first. If that doesn't do it, try Leadtek's. If that doesn't work, work your way through older nVidia drivers.

Not true. The Dell's screen is not made by Acer...the LCD manufacturer's logo will appear when no monitor cable is connected...but I don't feel like disconnecting it right now. :)

Over on Arstechnica, a number of people with Geforce3 boards experienced the same problem with 1600x1200 DVI output to the 2000fp when using certain colored backgrounds and/or dragging windows. From what I recall, the problem only occurs when at 32-bit color depth, and not 16-bit depth. This is an issue specific to the DVI implementation or hardware on these Geforce3 boards..

Over on Arstechnica, people (including myself) have had the best luck with the Radeon 8500 and the 2000fp. No graphical glitches of any kind at 1600x1200, regardless of what you are doing. I do hope the upcoming Geforce4 Ti will resolve this 1600x1200 DVI issue that plagues many Geforce3 boards...as I really want 60fps (minimum) gaming at the 2000fp's native 1600x1200 resolution; my current Radeon 8500 isn't sufficient to achieve that level of performance..
