Just got my dell 20" lcd. I plugged it up using the dvi cables to my geforce 4 ti4200. Everything runs ok untill I play a dvd using powerdvd. When switched to full screen the whole dvd goes fuzzy. Is there something wrong Im doing? Thanks in advance.

Give us more information. There are no issues I'm aware of there - I had the same configuration.

You're playing a DVD via PowerDVD ... this also happens when using PowerDVD to play an MPEG file (in full screen, I assume?)

First, define fuzzy. Then:

1. What happens if you use PowerDVD, but don't do it in fullscreen - just as a window - is it OK then?
2. What happens if you use PowerDVD, put it to fullscreen, and then bring up PowerDVD's GUI interface (but keeping it fullscreen - you can mouse up to the top of the screen and the GUI pops up, IIRC) - does the GUI stay sharp by the DVD playback is still fuzzy?
3. What happens if you play an MPEG fullscreen with Windows Media Player?
4. What happens if you play an MPEG window, with WMP?

What version of WMP? What OS?
Please confirm you have the latest nVidia drivers. If not, grab them, install them, and re-test.

what resolution is your LCD at? DVD is only same resolution as television so perhaps enlarging it so much will distort (fuzz) it.

1. If I use both power dvd in NON full screen mode.. then everything is ok.
2. I will have to try this out after I get off of work.
3. It does the same thing as the powerdvd in full screen mode.
4. Everything works fine in window mode of WMP.

WMP version 9 ... I think thats the lastest one out right?

OS is XP

Im sure I have the latest nvidia drivers, but I will have to check up on this.

Thanks for all the help, I will be waiting on the reply.

Best regards,

George

Im running the resolution pretty high.... 1200*1000 .. something like that...
Its kinda hard to describe what I mean by fuzzy.... its not like a fuzzy as in distorted... its more like... there are small horizontal lines running across every definite line in the movie or video clip... Do I make sense? I can try to take a screen shot to show you if that doesnt make sense. Thanks for the help!

Best regards,

George

Pictures would be great.
It should be 1600x1200 with a 20" LCD, so switch to that and try again.
