Dell 1905FP vs Samsung 193P

I did alittle comparison. I don't have dual dvi though, but i did run both at the same time switching between vga and dvi for both.

For the dell i have the AMLCD (LTM190E4-LO2) V017 panel, which is suppose to be the same samsung panel as in the 193p.

HOWEVER, i compared photos between the two lcds and the 193P photos are more saturated and jump out ALOT more. The blues are bluer and the greeners are greener.
Also the 193p is much sharper in both vga and dvi.

The dell does seem to show better blacks though, and can show more detail in dark colored spots.

Also the white on the 193p is much whiter!, on the dell its more yellowish, and the colors kind of blend together.

The 193p i purchased 3 months ago for the office, and the dell i still have till the 1st to return.

Personally I like the build of the dell more and its price of course.

Do i think the 193p is worth paying almost double for over the dell?
Not for most.

As for what i'm going to do, i'm not sure yet.
I'm playing with the idea of trying out the dell 2405.

I haven't done any tests yet regarding ghosting.

If you guys want some photos comparing phtoos on the two monitors let me know.

If you game the 2405 isnt that great since you will probably need some serious GPU power to push it. SLI most likily.




I would get the 2005 if you game.


If not the 2405 is a great monitor.
 
193p is now $382.99 after $200 MIR @ chiefvalue.com

I already own one, bought last summer for...gasp...over $700! This 19" monitor is excellent, if not the best, for desktop, office, and photo-editing, its also 20ms and is better for gaming than all the 25ms LCD's (not just by specs, but consistently in all reviews on the net).

The design is second to none. The slim case is beautiful to look at, up there with Apple's Cinema Displays, and the actually LCD panel is better than those monitors.

I think $382.99 is a great price and I'm tempted to get another this week.
